REDD Cell under the Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation is implementing REDD readiness activities in Nepal. In this connection, following consulting opportunities are available. 1. Procurement Management Consultant
The purpose of this consulting service is to assist REDD Cell to administer procurement of national/international consulting services and goods ensuring that the implementation truly serves to catalyze the national REDD process and builds national capacity for REDD plus.
The consultant should work under the supervision and guidance of the chief of the REDD cell for carrying out the procurement functions in accordance with World Bank/Government of Nepal procurement guidelines and procedures for implementation of REDD readiness activities. The individual consultant will be based in REDD Cell and will work for 10 working days per month. The contract duration will be of 18 months.
All the applications received in our previous advertisement did not fulfill the requirements of this consulting service and are cancelled. Individuals with minimum qualification of graduate in the fields of engineering, economics, natural resource management or business management having at least 2 years working experiences in public procurement related works including one year experience in the ADB or the World Bank procurement policies, procedures or evidences can apply.
2. Technical Consultant for Financial Management
The purpose of this consulting service is to assist REDD Cell in reviewing the existing internal systems and processes of REDD readiness program and ensure that the overall financial management system of REDD Cell is strengthened and robust. The consultant should work in close collaboration with the finance officer of the REDD Cell under the supervision and guidance of the chief of the REDD cell for carrying out the financial arrangements in accordance with World Bank/Government of Nepal financial rules and regulations, guidelines and procedures for implementation of REDD readiness activities. The individual consultant will be based in REDD Cell and will work for 10 working days per month. The contract duration will be of 18 months.
Individuals with minimum qualification of professional accountancy or master degree in Business Administration or related field and work experiences of at least 5 years in financial management conversant with the ADB or the World Bank financial management system can apply.
